Free wi-fi, allday, everyday, everywhere, anywhere

That would be a nice thing to have...

French Canadians, you and your shenanigans, and your free wi-fi are a godsend. I'll be sure to put in a good word for you, when I become Supreme Rulers of the Universe.

I found a bunch of motorcycle-related stuff for beginners. I might get a sports bike in the distant future... I am kinda liking that Yamaha FZ6R, and that Suzuki SV650...If any wise bearded bike rider looks down on these articles, I do apologize beforehand.

Canadians are so nice.

Perhaps it is the American mentality of "oh they're our maple syrup drinking neighbors with hockey" that's within me, but Canadians are really nice. Everytime I bumped into some dude, they'd always apologize, chat a little bit with me, and offer me some Canadian Bacon. Okay, maybe that last part was a slight lie, but I'm really liking Toronto.

Nothing new has happened. Trying to adjust with Celsius, Canadian Dollars, and "Oh you're from America?"

No links, sorry. :(  Haven't been on the internet very lately...

Please stay safe, and have a good day.

Everyday I'm hustlin'

Pictured: A hustler

Well, scholar is trying to get a job. It'll be small time, pushing carts, then maybe retail...then maybe some corporal executive stuff....then the world.

Job apps are less stressful than college apps, and I kinda like them. Why, yes, I do consent to taking a drug test. Why, no, I have not committed any felonies in the past 10 years. And etc...

College apps want to know how I "discovered" myself. Or how I "overcame" fear. Those are seriously cauge questions, for sure. I discovered peanut butter, and overcame the fear of just Jelly Sandwiches....

Now, some places want you to know how you would handle a pissed off customer. Now that's good stuff. Your boss doesn't want to know about your fears, s/he wants that douchebag screaming about a new modem dead. And you happen to be right there! Now go and earn your 9 dollars an hour, peasant!

A little nerve wracking typing my social security number each time, though...

I've applied to 5 different companies, and only 2 colleges >_>
Yet to hear from any.

And you? Any interview tips you might have? College tips? Just general tips?

Have a good day!

lol vacation

Right now, I'm packing some stuff to go to Ottawa, Canada. Never been there, but its some random place my family wanted to take me with, oddly enough. I'll be there from the 11th, to the 30th.
(Now that I said how long I will be gone, I wonder if any of my followers are gonna jack my house....)

A Canadian Christmas, then an American New Year! Then back to the harsh realities of school, and entering a new decade...

Anyways, I leave in an hour and half, so I don't have much to say.

Sorry that this blog post is short....I needed to say something, so I said. Now, I'm just starting on packing things up. You guys go enjoy yourselves. I don't think I can make any posts for a few days. Have a good one, everyone.

Bring it on.

Monday, December 6, 2010

Sorry for not making a post in a while

I just haven't had much to talk about....
It's been a slow week.

Let's see.... *looks in Reading List*

Well, someone I'm following made a post about Daft Punk. I could probably find something in my bookmarks....
Ah, there we go:

Eh...it's been kinda slow. School is seriously picking up its pace, with Xmas break coming soon. Ah well.

Whalers vs. Godzilla

Source:
http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/blog/22423/japanese+whalers+to+face+new+enemy+in+godzilla/

Catchy post title, no?

Now, I'm perfectly fine with Japanese whalers hunting down whales, in moderation. I mean, it IS a part of Japanese culture, I assume. It's like hunting down moose, or wolf. If it's done in moderation, and you are using the hunted game for its meat/skin, then yeah, that's fine. But, something is clearly wrong if you shoot a bear, highfive your buddy, and move on to the next bear. That's just a douche-tacular thing to do.

I'm also fine with protesters, but this is kinda ridiculous. The boat looks freaking cool, as if Batman just decided to lend the protesters a boat, but still... at what point does an animals life overtake a humans? Yeah, these whales are rare, and should probably be protected, but why do you want to crash your Batman-Godzilla ship into some dinky little whaler ship? You could be out there fighting The Joker, or something....

I complained enough....what do you guys think?

And let's end on a happy note:
Here's a link to a fellow blogger's paper flower tutorial (it looks simple, and awesome):

I was wondering where my audiences hail from...

Yesterday was thanksgiving for us Americans, and as we feasted, Canadians were all "lol you guys are late," while people in Iceland were all "Let's go make some kinda constitution!"

Yes, I was imagining countries in a little cafeteria, talking about each other, in my mind.

With that said, I was curious as to where my readers are from in this world, so I took a look in the stats...

I do apoligize if your screen gets....fat.

Most of my audience comes from the United States. Sweden, you better pick up your pace, or Germany's gonna get more views. Slovenia, you may be a small country, but you are not forgotten. And thanks, India, for being the only country on Asia.

Also, Sweden, you should probably get your cousins, Finland, and Norway up in here....just sayin'.

Firefox is used by more than half of you....I'm so proud of you guys! I mean, I have nothing towards Safari users....but IE users....c'mon....

These world stats are quite cool for me, and also kinda useful. If I make a joke concerning Macs, it'll be popular for 92% of you guys. I should also try to celebrate Canada Day, make a Dutch post, etc. A little something for everyone.

Have a good day, ayez une bonne journée, ha en bra dag, guten tag, ....

I'll make a better post, I promise.

Alright, now that I'm awake, let's go review HP7P1

I'll try not to spoil anything!

Sup.

HP7P1, also known as Harry Potter 7 Part 1.
Man, that's a pretty cool acronym.

Short review:
The movie is 2 hours long, and kinda has some boring parts in the middle, but it does try to keep things exciting. You should probably see it. And since it IS in 2 parts, expect a cliffhanger!! Overall, it's good.

Slightly longer review:
If this is your very first or even second Harry Potter movie that you're gonna watch, and if you haven't read the books, you're gonna be confused as hell. So, go watch/read everything. The movie does a decent job following the book, it does skip a few parts, but it won't be that noticeable.

I definitely laughed kinda hard in a few places. Maybe it was cause I was with friends, or maybe because there was a herd of teenage girls dressed as witches in front of me, and I HAD to out-laugh them. Maybe. But, it's got a nice combo of humor and action. A little awkward in some places (was that dancing scene really necessary?)

The deaths of some of the more notable characters kinda got to me. I think I remember just 3. The non-humans who died....now that freaking got to me. Almost shed a tear near the end. ALMOST.

It was an alright movie. Not perfect, but it's pretty damn good. Go watch it.

And please don't throw your buttery popcorn behind you. He might be a scholar, or something.....and SOMEONE is going have to clean that up...

Have a good day.

Note to self: Never watch a movie at midnight

You will get tired.
I don't care if it's Harry Potter 7 part 1 or 2, or anything badass coming soon.

For the love of god, when part 2 comes out, you'll want to just chill for a second....just think...do you REALLY need to see it? I mean, if you already read the book...oh wait, you already arranged something with your friends?

You suck, scholar.

From, the brain of Scholar.

Have a good day/night :D

So, I go to Yahoo!, and this guy shows up

Gentlemen.

My god.

That moustache.

The guy in armor.
The prison bar background.

This is what Yahoo has to say about him:

U.S. wins battle over 'Merchant of Death.'

An ex-Soviet officer who sparked a fierce tug of war between Moscow and D.C. is suddenly whisked to the U.S.

HE IS THE "MERCHANT OF DEATH". HE'S FROM THE SOVIET UNION. THAT MUSTACHE.

Okay, I'll be honest... I did not read that article, at all. I just saw that glorious imitation of Tom Selleck, and decided to make a post about it.

I sometimes look at the sites that I bookmarked...

....and I wonder, "Why? Why would I bookmark such a thing?"
Some sites like Google, or Yahoo! or Facebook, yeah, sure, bookmarking them is okay.

But for sites like:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harp_guitar

When am I ever going to use a site like that?
(The thing looks super awesome, though. I have no idea how to even think of playing such a majestic beast)

There are certain sites that if I visit a lot, I would bookmark, but I really have no reason to visit the Wikipedia article for a harp guitar. Maybe if I planned on getting one...

Speaking of random bookmarks, here are some of musical related things that I've randomly bookmarked, but never really had a reason to use:

Scholar, you suck with computers.

Another trojan got to me...

On the plus side, I got to live a few more days computer-less. It's quite exhilirating!!
On the bad side, I got to live a few more days computer-less. It is quite a pants-shitting experience.

Pictured: My pants. Not pictured: Certain Stuff

Might as well start off with a diary from Oct 24th, to the current day, for those wondering how I've been coping.

October
Sunday the 24th: Went to a Mumford and Sons concert with a group of friends at Seattle. They were pretty good, but goddamn, sometimes the teenagers behind me need to seriously shut up. Oh wait, that was me....my bad

Monday the 25th: To hell with school, I just came back from a concert. Skip it.

26,27, 28: School. Do work, learn, etc.

Friday the 29th: It's Friday!!! LETS PARTY

Saturday the 30th: Oh god, hangover. Let's not do anything...wait. I just got a party invite? OKAY, TO HELL WITH CONSEQUENCES!!! :D

Sunday the 31th: The room is spinning... ANOTHER party invite? Okay, I'm going. Ooooh, booze! Wait, no tomorrow's school....I might as well go trick or treating with a mask I found, that I used when I was 12. Got a decent load of candy. Also got some "Aren't you a little bit old?" But to hell with that, I get candy.

November
Monday the 1st: Come on, I dont wanna go to school. I just came back from Halloween shenanigans. Skip it

Tuesday the 2nd: "Hello there, Mr. Scholar. Here's your computer." Oh okay. Let me just eat this McRib first. Maybe I'll have another. Hell, let's eat 3 more. Yay! Computer time!!.....actually, no. After I got home from school, I went to a friends house, played some Left 4 Dead, went to a mall, ate said mcribs, went to a nearby Guitar Center, solicited, and finally went home. Never bothered to use my laptop at all.

I ate 5 of these on Tuesday. I was very hungry on Tuesday. I almost puked on Tuesday. I think it was a good Tuesday.

Wednesday the 3rd: "Mr. Scholar, it appears you have skipped the last two mondays. You are now assigned a detention."

Yeah, fuck you, too, school.

Thursday the 4th: Some random chick wants me, I can totally tell...... then I woke up. Nothing happened today.

Friday the 5th: You are reading this, unless you are in a different time zone.
Saturday the 6th: You are reading this, unless you are in a different time zone.

And, that's about it. Not being on the computer daily changed me, my fellow bloggers. I had to go.....outside and be social with people. It was kinda fun. I like fun. Thus, I'll be doing it more often.

Sorry to say, daily blogs will now longer happen. I kinda don't feel like doing it EVERY day, unless I'm really bored, or if no one wants to hang out.

May you have a glorious, trojan-free day.

Friday, October 29, 2010

Welcome back.

Way to go, Scholar.
You got Trojans on yo' computa'.
But thank god you have 8 Mech skill points, or otherwise you wouldn't be posting this.

So yeah, the reason I haven't been here was because my PC got infected, and I had to ship it off to some mystical wizard in the West, and he fixed it.

I would explain more, talk about my day past week or two, but I'm REAAALLLLY tired right now. A lot's been going on. I'll make a longer, more personal blog tomorrow.

Unless I get trojan'd.

OH GOD NO PLEASE DONT LE

I like food.

I really like food.
This is how I show my joy:
Om nom nom nom nom.
~S. Dollar.

Beautiful haiku, if I do say so myself.

Random food linkage time!:

Recipes in 140 characters or less:
http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/food/shortest-recipes-ever-5-dinners-in-140-characters-or-less-2396242/

The only thing bad with this is that it really is confusing in some places. It took me a while to understand that "Mix c flr/1/3c brsug/t bkgpdr&SweetSpice/1/4t salt" actually stood for "Mix a cup of flour with with 1/3 cup of brown sugar....." okay, just kidding, I don't even what the hell a ""bkgpdr" is. But I'm sure there are people out there who twitter AND cook at the same time.

But seriously, that Carbonara and Unfried Chicken looks good.

The Best Bacon Recipes:
http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/food/the-best-bacon-recipes-2397479/

You would think that bacon by itself is great. Maybe some eggs, maybe some cereal. Well, I'd like to kindly inform you that you are oh so very, very wrong. You can out bacon on salad, you can put bacon on meatloaf, you can put bacon on bacon, etc, etc. Just view some of those food recipes, you uneducated bacon behemoth.

Speaking of bacon...
Tactical Bacon.
http://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/zombies/c399/

One of my favorite places to shop online, ThinkGeek, sells a plethora of geeky stuff. It's funny sometimes, it's helpful at other times, and it's downright geeky at all times. But this can right here... when the zombies come into town, and rations are running low, you can pull this beaut right here, and be heralded as the savior of your people! The pre-cooked bacon can last 10 years, until you open it. When you open it, you better start gorging on it, cause I'm pretty sure fridges are kinda rare during zombie apocalypses for some reason.

Look in the sidebar for that website, and you WILL find more bacon related stuff. You may lose money on that site, but it's worth it's weight in bacon. Yummy, fatty, delicious bacon.

And now, here's a chart:

How does a knork work? You can't cut AND stab at the same time!

300.

Oh my sweet-and-sour-sauce on my chickens.
300.

THREE HUNDRED.

This is how I imagine all of my followers.

I just wanna say thanks guys. I might have been moonlighting as schollar who doesn't do very many schollar-y things, but I'm just gonna take a moment to bask in this glory of
300 followers.

You know things are serious when I'm using Large, bolded, underlined, and italic Helvetica font. My god. Look at that red highlighting.

300.

And speaking of fonts:
http://interactimage.com/
There's a bunch of fonts up in there. Use it if you're one of those artistic peoples.

And let's say you do need a typeface for something:
http://julianhansen.com/files/infographiclarge_v2.png
This infographic right here will show you which font to use!!....if you're into that kinda stuff

Speaking of 300, the guy who directed the film is directing the newest Superman film. I sure do hope more slow-motion shenanigans ensue. And Gerald Butler, aka King Leo, is gonna be in a biopic about Sam Childers, a biker preacher-defender of Sudanese orphans. The movie is called "Machine Gun Preacher." Go wiki it up. Very awesome name, in my opinion.

Well, I'm just gonna go mind my studies now. School is getting less-suckish...well, except for math. I really fucking hate math. But besides that, school is kinda fun. Cool people, awesome friends, decent amount of studying. And I got a few party invites for the next few weekends. Things are looking up!

Have a good day.

Random musical linakge time

Not much to say for this post. Just gonna post some interesting music finds:

The Cetan Clawson Revolution.
A rock guitarist, he's pretty good.
I recommend listening to "White Heat." It's quite nice.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLJf9qJHR3E
Mumford and Sons- Little Lion Man
M&S is a folk band, and I just started listening to them a week ago. I don't know why, but I REALLY like them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z504h8Kynxs
Tarantula- To Feel the Light.
It's a Portuguese Power Metal band, but this song is quite soothing.

Firewind- Mercenary Man
This song is just cool.
as well as their acoustic version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPA1pjza-Wk
I feel like rescuing someone, or something!

And finally we have Napalm Death's "You Suffer"

World Stats

I know there are some dudes out there who like looking at statistics and like making equations out of them, and what not.

I am not among them.

But this site is really cool:
http://www.worldometers.info/

It's a world stats site that constantly updates itself. Some of the stats are slowly increasing, such as births today, while some are freaking insane, like the healthcare costs in the U.S

And some really make you think, like the billions of tons of food produced this year, and the amount of people who've died of hunger.

Even if you don't really like numbers, take a gander. It's really something.

Have a good day.

Proposition 19

also known as the Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010.

California is having a state-wide ballot on Nov 2nd, that if passed, Prop 19 would legalize various marijuana-related activities, allow local governments to regulate these activities, permit local governments to impose and collect marijuana-related fees and taxes, and authorizes various criminal and civil penalties.

If it does pass, the sale of marijuana still remains illegal because of the Controlled Substance Act.

[More or less copy+pasted from Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Proposition_19_%282010%29 ]

I skimmed over the Wikipedia article, and made my opinions, but what do my followers think?

For or against?

And how are you doing?

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Yes, the last post never happened.

I just realized it was REAAAALLLYYY terrible.
I'm kind of a terrible person.

I'm just gonna go play Left 4 Dead now, and kill zombies, and whatnot.

No.

Disregard this post.

With the US State Department issuing a “travel advisory” for Europe...

Source:

http://tinyurl.com/28hqor9

The above is a link for any Americans traveling to Europe, and how they can best be safe. Some of these steps are a little...er, "biased" such as Number 8: "Don't look American." Yes, I know you shouldn't be doing the obvious like wearing the American flag, eating apple pie, and chanting the name of your sports team, but really now, I dunno if American tourists stand out too much. Maybe our accents, and maybe we say "color" rather than "colour" but really now.

Some of the rules are actually decent, like "Avoid Embassies or glamorous hotels," and then there are some that just make me shake my head.

That's just me complaining about life. Europe is awesome and stuff, and visiting there would be cool, but for now, I'll just relax in my humble abode here in Washington.

And now here's a bluegrass cover of Metallica's "Master of Puppets"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cnR-hrq-cc

A short but pretty inspiring quote I found.

"Believe it or not, you are in control of your own life.
You are the reason why you're sad, and you are the reason why you're happy.
So don't wait for happiness. Go out and find it.
Right now.

And don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

Excuse me, I need to go....tell people some things.

YES!!
That's 9 more than 191, 12 less than 212, half of 400, the root of 40,000, and the inverse of...

Hell if I know. I hate solving inverse functions. Math makes me pissed off and angry, yet I constantly use it all the time. It's like an abusive relationship. I just can't quit it.

Friday night.

And here I am, blogging away, instead of hanging out with friends, and getting wasted. I suppose it's alright though...I won't waste gas money driving my friends to places, wasting more money on booze, and doing unsafe things with animals and law enforcement. I'm just typing away wearing sweats, a blanket, and munching on some chips. Man, if I was playing World of Warcraft or something, I'd be a dictionary definition of a loser....

And how are you doing?
Any cool plans in the near future?

Thursday, September 30, 2010

Good god, have I really not blogged for a week!?

That's a record for me.

Time to get back into the daily schedule, and make a not-very-great blog every day now :D !!

Damn straight.

I don't really time to scour the internet for random links, so I'm just gonna rant/rave/complain/etc about the first thing to move past my window...

....

A Hummer.

Okay then, well.....I'm not a big fan of Hummer's. There's nothing really bad about the people who drive them (sometimes), but I'm not a big fan of driving 10 miles per gallon. Also, I don't like huge cars. Makes me feel like I'm compensating for something, and I just don't feel right when I'm 2 or 3 feet off the ground. Cars that are low to the ground just feel right, for some reason. But at the same time, I'm kinda terrified that a speed bump could kill a low-ridah.

Yeah, that's right....low ridah.
You gotta beef with my so cal accent, boi?

The name behind Scholar Dollar.

I almost forgot why I kinda named myself Scholar Dollar.
Just in case I completly forget, this blog is here to remind me. And I guess tell anyone reading this.

Well, I've been called a scholar and a gentleman many times in my life. And I disagree with both terms. I think of myself as an unintelligent ruffian. But that doesn't roll off the tongue very well, so scholar it is! I mean, just look at it:

skah-ler.
ska-lor
sko-lar
and many others.

And I wanted something that rhymes with scholar, but "holler" doesn't really sound too nice....(damn you, Gwen Stefani)

Dollar is okay, I guess. I could always use some more, and it's a decent currency.

Now, the question is, how did YOU get your username?

I made this one in 10 minutes or so, added a black border, and bam:

I call it.... "Angsty Fireball o' Doom"

This guitar:

LOOK AT ME

That's a B.C Rich guitar. The Draco Flying V.
Quite possibly the most badass/funniest looking/ugliest guitar I have ever seen.
So many conflicting emotions.

But I heard from one my guitar-obsessed friends that while BC Riches are flashy, the sound quality is not that great.

But, man, I just wanna whip out a guitar like that, start shredding, and just be awesome.
So with that in mind, it's time that I learn how to play guitar.

Getting better.

That's the last time I insult MMORPG's.
Especially one about zombies, and infections.

This weekend was just terrible. On Friday afterschool, I got a massive headache, and took a nap. I wake up all groggy and sick. The room was spinning, maaaan, the room WAS SPINNING. Just walking about took considerable effort. I constantly felt like throwing up....and I did.....6 times. I counted. I can kinda sympathize women with morning sickness now. And somehow, in between all this, I've managed to do some homework, check facebook, and make a blog. Priorities = in check. Also, thanks to everyone who sent in get-well comments and messages. It made me happy :3

Saturday was slightly better, but I was starving like a mo-fo. But getting out of bed was nigh impossible, so I just reached for some random piece of candy on the floor, and called it a meal. I kept sleeping, and kept getting tired, so I kept sleeping, but I kept on getting tired, so I kept on sleeping, and etc.

Now today, I woke up near 9 am, and more or less played videogames until noon-ish, before I realized, "hey, I'm not so sick anymore." And now, here I am. 80% recovered from some douchebag cold who ruined my weekend. This is the longest out of any cold/flu that I've ever had, in which I've spent most of my time lulling around in my bed, staring the ceiling, and only getting up to use the bathroom.

Now, I wanna ask some of my followers a few questions:

1. What's the longest you've been sick for?
2. Ever pretend you're sick, and just relax for the day?
3. Will you have a good day/evening/night?

This is where I complain about....

....Browser based MMORPG's.

I got into Urban Dead a year ago, and haven't played since two or three months ago. Well, I was rummaging around my internet history, and lo and behold, an Urban Dead page popped up. Nostalgia seeped through my mind, before it suddenly hardened, turned into angry feelings of grinding for exp, and shattered.

Don't get me wrong, I love wasting time on websites like Urban Dead. It's just that I don't wanna waste even MORE time trying to reload a pistol, missing every single shot (even though I have Pistol Proficiency, making my accuracy - oh god what I become) then moving to some Police Station to get more ammo, only to find out that the station's been overrun, and I just happen to run out of action points to move. Then, I get eaten by zombies, and I ragequit.

And when I stop playing for a long period of time and get back, the game just freaking changes on me. The HUD is now inverted, and hanging off of the edge. The zombies are now equipped with jet packs. You are not allowed to rotate your computer monitor past 20 degrees or else an airstrike is called upon your location.

Now, of course, I'm just kidding around with you, with the jetpacks and 20 degrees.

It's anything past 15.

Mike Portnoy has left Dream Theater

Hearing my favorite drummer leaving is godawful, you see.
No words cannot express this anger boiling within me.
But I might find one, with a little bit of luck.
Oh right; F

Have a good day.

Thor, Odin's son, protector of mankind, ride to meet your fate; your destiny awaits.

Ah, quite the manly title befitting this one picture I stumbled upon, even though Vikings and Spartans have nothing in comm-

-oh my god.

Brushing your teeth like a Spartan:

And with that outta way, let's get some Scholar-y ranting up in this neighborhood, yo.

I'm the biggest procrastinator that I know. This might sound like a confession, but I just want to just get it out of my chest. I put off on doing things well past the very last minute, and do it the minute after the last minute. It's not that there is stopping me from doing it, it's just that I don't care. I don't care that this essay is due next Wednesday, I'll do it next Friday. I don't care that I have to go see the doctor about this tumor, I can die by something else. It's really terrible, I really do need some professional help for this. In fact, I'm putting off on doing my homework, since multi-tasking by playing Left 4 Dead, checking facebook, listening to Amon Amarth, and blatantly putting in sneaky advertisements in this post is more important than 19th century England, brought to you by Coca-Cola.

Man, I don't hate school, or anything....but it just sucks.

Oh well. Might as well grow a pair and a beard, brush my teeth, and take notes about Jane Eyre.

Don't feel like blogging.

Really tired and stuff. It's Labor Day, why do I feel like a bag of lamesauce?
But here I am. Time to stop getting pissy, and start doing bloggy stuff.

And here's how to roast a chicken with some cans and an open flame:

Now, that site's awesome. Let that page for roasted chicken in a can be your gateway for everything odd in this world.

Machetes, typographies, and Nergal

I don't know what to expect from this film, to be honest.

I'm going to see the film with a bunch of my friends today. Well, it was more "SCHOLAR!!! u hav 2 seeee dis movie, yo!!!!" And well, I'm kind of a sucker to peer pressure. It might be okay, I mean, based on the trailers I've seen, it looks like it might kick some serious ass, but on the other side, it also looks REEEAALLLLYYYY cheesy, with the random explosion and fights, and Steven Seagal. Yes, Steven Seagal is in this movie. He was like....the 4th reason of why I wanted to see it. Jessica Alba is reason #3

I'll make a new blog post reviewing this movie either later tonight, or probably tomorrow.

Now, I can't just make a blog saying "gonna watch movi, brb lololololol." This blog post needs more sustenance!!

http://entertainment-lobby.blogspot.com/2010/06/100-splendid-visual-of-typography.html

I love typography. Sometimes, I dream of Times New Roman, and Ariel Bold getting it on. Then I find myself utterly disgusted, and in need of new bed sheets. But this blog is really more about showcasing some dude's typography art. It's more or less some really cool fonts. I dunno if you can download it or anything, but it just looks cool.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Darski

Adam Darski, or better known by "Nergal," or even better known as "who?" is the singer of Behemoth. Now, for those of you aren't too hip with metal (did I just use hip and metal in the same sentence oh god i am terrible) Behemoth is a Black Metal Band. The band puts on face paint, play really low and death like melodies, and sing about Satan. But that's not the point here. The singer's been diagnosed with leukemia. And that shit will usually kill you. Hearing about this just depressed me, and I want you to be depressed as well. I kinda like Behometh.

And now, here's a kitten:

Somewhere, someone out there wuvs you.    -Cat

I haven't done very many scholar-y things lately

So let's just give you some random sites you might enjoy:

http://www.coolinfographics.com/

This site has a bunch of kick-ass infographics. It's like the cooler older brother of graphs, who regularly supplies you with a few answers for that Physics test you take every week. It's like that guy in the back of the bus who gives you "smelling" sugars, for FREE.....well, infographics are nothing like those two dudes, but it's pretty darn close.

http://www.todaysbigthing.com/

A new thing every day. Be amazed, and whatnot. It's pretty cool at times, decent for others.

http://www.thebest404pageever.com/

REFRESH. REFRESH. REFRESH.

http://www.bunalti.com/

Need new music? Go right on ahead. Now, I know the website is kinda dark, and heavy-metal-y looking, but with a little searching, I'm sure you wade past the metal, and find something soft, unless metal is your thing. Melodic Death Metal is good stuff, but I guess Celtic Punk might be your thing.

Labor Day Weekend

Ah, labor day. A day of relaxation. A day to make the weekend a 3-day weekend, and the week after a 4day week. A day of no school for students who've already been in school for, or for others, the very last day for partying.

But you see, it's the start of the American Football season.

Life is great now.

Seattle Weather

First things first, I live in Seattle.
Go ahead, and make your grunge jokes, and Microsoft jokes, and etc, etc.

But one thing that just really pisses me off is the weather.  Today we get a bright-ass day with trees and birds all singing in tune. The children were frolicking through forests without fear of getting kidnapped by giant bugs. All the students were able to type at 1.5x their normal typing speed and gathered at the beach because they finished typing their report on Early Renaissance artists. And finally, little Timmy hugged his friend, Bob, and everyone laughed.

Yesterday, we had rainy-ass weather. The trees flew into the birds. The music they made was autotuned hiphop. Giant bugs were getting kidnapped by children. Students typed their Early Renaissance Artist report at 300x typing speed thanks to copy+pasting Wikipedia. Timmy hugged Bob........'s gravestone.

Tomorrow is probably our last sunny day for this year. I hear this winter is going to snowy as hell.

Messing around with gadgets

Mr. T quotes.

ALWAYS NECESSARY.

Hey there, guys.

I'm not gonna lie....the word verification was being a complete ass to me, and it took 3 tries for me to get it right. But now that that's done with, I can make my first blog!

So.....stay awesome.
