It's about the little things in life, ya'know.

Pictured: What I'm eating now. Not Pictured: Advertisement Money

Today would have been a bland day. Nothing tremendously bad happened, and nothing wonderfully good had happened. But, there were itty bitty little good things that happened throughout today. I woke up pretty early, and felt rested. A bunny scampered across the lawn.  For lunch, I ate a pretty awesome sandwich. And a beautiful looking woman smiled at me. I got me some kickass Klondike's. All random events, yes. But they made me smile and appreciate my life. But the best part of today was that I found a dollar on the ground. Maybe my post yesterday had something to do with this chain of happiness. (Damn, shoulda written about jet ski's, or dinosaurs, or something)

All in all, no matter what kinda day you had, try and enjoy the little things in life. Be glad that you have internet access and can read my ramblings. And I hope you're wearing clothes. It's quite comfy isn't it? Bam, just listed off the internet and clothes. Those are some awesome things to have.

Your day may be awesome, but it'd be even better if you try and make someone's day better by smiling at them, complimenting them, hugging them, or something. A small gesture can go far. Trust me. That one hot chick did....ahem.

I'd give you a highfive. I'd even give you a hug. Why? Cause it's all about making your day better!
Have a good day!

Might as well talk about the importance of the USD.

Being an citizen of the United States, I use the currency system of the the  US Dollar. I know my blog is read by people from all over the world, but a good chunk (about 70%) of my readers hail from the U.S. So for that purpose, I'm going to use the USD. And I am fully aware there are other countries that use the USD. I can't think of any off the top of my head.

What can a US dollar get you?
http://www.wri.org/publication/content/7977

In Kenya, that's 8 Cups of Milk. In Ghana, 87 Tablets of Penicillin. In the United States, 1/3 of a delicious, delicious Starbucks Tall Latte. Direct advertisement reference goes here.

While those stats are quite impressive and makes you think, it really only compares the US with 3rd world countries. But still, it does make you feel a little bit grateful about the importance of green Mr.Washington.

Now, let's do some scholarly things with a dollar. A sensible thing to would be to save a dollar a week, and a year later, you can buy like, 40 cheeseburgers, maaaaaan. Of course, you can spend it on incredibly cheap things, such as used books, or go to a dollar store. Maybe even give it to some random kid and just make his day.
Or even buy something healthy!
http://www.wisebread.com/50-healthy-foods-for-under-1-a-pound

Then again, saving a dollar a week for a year and those cheeseburgers.....it sounds really tempting....

Well then. I'm out. I managed to clean my room, and stumble upon 5 quarters and a dime. That's $1.35. That is a value meal right there! Have a good day!

And we're back.

Sorry about not posting since....a while ago.
I've had a lot of school related stuff to do, and my teachers are stupid, and having a job sucks and...

No.
This time, I cannot blame the possessions that I've been gifted to have. This time, I cannot blame the people I've been blessed to call as "friends." This time, I cannot blame a being. An object. A thing.

I can only blame myself for not being on top of it, and not updating my blog. To make a long story short, I was a stupid kid back then, and I still am now. But I'll try my damnedest to update this blog on a more frequent level, then every 500 months. This is a new day! I can't keep kicking myself; I just have to motivate myself. And I'll find a specific topic to talk about!

Let's go!

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Oh THAT was my password!

THAT certain phrase was my password...
Well, time to get back in the blogging business

Sorry for not updating in a while....my bad.

Yeah, I'm popular in Sweden.

Popular in English Speaking Countries

Taking a look at my stats, I'm not surprised that the U.S has a majority of my views; it's where I'm from, it's, where most of my audience is from, it's where blogger.com is from, etc. (Also, props to Canada. I like you.)

But, what is Sweden doing there?

Are tales of my adventures, cunning, and large genitals perhaps being a tale told to little school children in Sweden?!

The land of Metal, Attractive Women, and "No, sir, you're thinking of Finland, not Sweden"

After 10 minutes of research on Wikipedia, I've done some things that might appeal to Swedes, such as mentioning Amon Amarth, Yngwie Malmsteen, Hammerfall, Arch Enemy. All hailing from Sweden, and all very good metal music. Also, Roxette, and ABBA. They're damn good. And Swedish.

Wise Master Wikiepdia also told me 89% of Swedish people can speak English. Which is good, since I really don't remember typing in Swedish. I can also only hope that 89% doesn't view Americans negatively due to me....

Yes, I am slightly gay for Sweden.

This makes me happy, knowing that by throwing in random keywords, such as "Sonata Arctica" or "2011 German Election" I can get some foreign audience members. Ferrari.

And now I'm going to google translate, say something, and try not to offend any Swedish people:
Det är mycket häftiga.

Next week: I'll get the history of Argentina wrong, and try to get some Argentinian bloggers!

Har en bra dag, and have a good day!

Caffeine will fuel the World.

Rather than hastily choosing a bunch of links and going "lol random link, u guyz!", I thought I would choose the topic of caffeine, something that flows through my veins very happily, and go along with it.

Also, I have a chem. project relating to caffeine. This is more or less a informal, clumsily made version of that project.

http://health.yahoo.net/experts/eatthis/are-energy-drinks-dangerous

The above article asks the question whether or not energy drinks are dangerous.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Maybe.

While I do believe that if anything in life tastes good, it's probably bad for you. Moderation is key, and like the article says:

"Well, the truth is that while you can call a product RockStar, a more accurate name for some of their drinks might be Fat Roadie. Because while massive doses of energy drinks are obviously dangerous, adding even a single can a day of some of them to your liquid intake could cause more than 29 pounds of weight gain in a year!"

Drink Energy Drinks, and you can be like me!

I don't really drink RockStar. I'm more of a Monster man, myself. But according to this other website:
http://www.energyfiend.com/death-by-caffeine

It would take 55 and a half cans of Monster Energy to kill me. It would also take 55 and a half cans of Rockstar to kill me. On the other hand, since 7-Up contains no caffeine, I would not die by caffeine overdose. Sugar overdose, on the other hand....

"But Scholar! I drink coffee! Energy Drinks are for fat teenagers who think they're hardcore!!"

Well, then. I am most certainly not fat!

>_>
<_<

http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/health/5-health-reasons-to-not-quit-coffee-2460820/

Yeah, coffee is good for you. And I mean homebrewed coffee, not your Triple Roasted Triple Sugar Peppermint Shot MegaDeth Caffeinica Starbucks brew. Again, I do emphasize: moderation is key. You don't need to cut back on anything, unless it is on a dangerous level.

You guys might have seen this poster flying around, but I'll post it anyway:
http://www.coolinfographics.com/blog/2010/1/11/the-caffeine-poster-how-much-caffeine-are-you-drinking-new-i.html

It's a poster of drinks in level of their amount of caffeine.

My essay kicked ass, I promise. This post.....eh.

Fun fact: While doing this project, various amounts of caffeine based products were consumed. Among them were:
Monster (I like it; been drinking it for a while)
Starbucks coffee (Meh. I'm from Seattle, guess I have to)
Redbull (A key ingredient in Jagerbombs. *cough*)
Black Coffee (OH GOD GET THIS TASTE OFF OF ME)
Water (Thanks you for that)

Needless to say, I got hyper, did some very loud stuff, crashed down, had a headache, and had a glorious nap.

Have a good day! I don't care what you drink, but drink it up!

I think I had a blog....

Nah, can't be.

Then it doesn't smell that great.

I like looking good.

Back in my mother country.

Ah, America. The land of opportunity, freedom, and Starbucks.
Im gonna take a very long nap. I'm sure school, and blogger won't need me for another week.

I'd post some stuff, but I'll do it later.

Good night, and have a good day tomorrow.

Free wi-fi, allday, everyday, everywhere, anywhere

That would be a nice thing to have...

French Canadians, you and your shenanigans, and your free wi-fi are a godsend. I'll be sure to put in a good word for you, when I become Supreme Rulers of the Universe.

Canadians are so nice.

Perhaps it is the American mentality of "oh they're our maple syrup drinking neighbors with hockey" that's within me, but Canadians are really nice. Everytime I bumped into some dude, they'd always apologize, chat a little bit with me, and offer me some Canadian Bacon. Okay, maybe that last part was a slight lie, but I'm really liking Toronto.

Nothing new has happened. Trying to adjust with Celsius, Canadian Dollars, and "Oh you're from America?"

No links, sorry. :(  Haven't been on the internet very lately...

Please stay safe, and have a good day.

Everyday I'm hustlin'

Pictured: A hustler

Well, scholar is trying to get a job. It'll be small time, pushing carts, then maybe retail...then maybe some corporal executive stuff....then the world.

Job apps are less stressful than college apps, and I kinda like them. Why, yes, I do consent to taking a drug test. Why, no, I have not committed any felonies in the past 10 years. And etc...

College apps want to know how I "discovered" myself. Or how I "overcame" fear. Those are seriously cauge questions, for sure. I discovered peanut butter, and overcame the fear of just Jelly Sandwiches....

Now, some places want you to know how you would handle a pissed off customer. Now that's good stuff. Your boss doesn't want to know about your fears, s/he wants that douchebag screaming about a new modem dead. And you happen to be right there! Now go and earn your 9 dollars an hour, peasant!

A little nerve wracking typing my social security number each time, though...

I've applied to 5 different companies, and only 2 colleges >_>
Yet to hear from any.

And you? Any interview tips you might have? College tips? Just general tips?

Have a good day!

lol vacation

Right now, I'm packing some stuff to go to Ottawa, Canada. Never been there, but its some random place my family wanted to take me with, oddly enough. I'll be there from the 11th, to the 30th.
(Now that I said how long I will be gone, I wonder if any of my followers are gonna jack my house....)

A Canadian Christmas, then an American New Year! Then back to the harsh realities of school, and entering a new decade...

Anyways, I leave in an hour and half, so I don't have much to say.

Sorry that this blog post is short....I needed to say something, so I said. Now, I'm just starting on packing things up. You guys go enjoy yourselves. I don't think I can make any posts for a few days. Have a good one, everyone.

Bring it on.

Monday, December 6, 2010

Sorry for not making a post in a while

I just haven't had much to talk about....
It's been a slow week.

Let's see.... *looks in Reading List*

Well, someone I'm following made a post about Daft Punk. I could probably find something in my bookmarks....
Ah, there we go:

YEAAAAHHHH, NOW YOU TOO CAN MAKE MAD BEATS YO

Eh...it's been kinda slow. School is seriously picking up its pace, with Xmas break coming soon. Ah well.

Have a good day, and enjoy your Hanukkah, if you celebrate it.
